Acupuncture Clinic Receptionist

Promise Integrative Medicine Clinic has an immediate opening for a part time or full-time (after probational period) Clinic Receptionist. We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized clinic manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will work at the front desk and provide assistance to our patients.

You will be responsible for corresponding with patients, maintaining the organization of our office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for our patients and their families.

Primary duties will be standard administrative duties:

• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
• Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
• Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
• Communicate with insurance companies in verifying patient’s insurance coverage and obtain authorizations
• Utilize our office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
• Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, and welcoming
• Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred)
• 1+ years’ experience in medical assisting/administration or in a relevant role
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software (training offered)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records

Prior experience as a medical receptionist is preferred, for at least one year.

Job Type: Part- Time (Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays) or (Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays ) Full-Time (4 days a week )

Hours: 20+ hours/ week for part time, 40 hours/week for full time.

Compensation: $15-23/hour (depending on previous professional experience/skills)
