We are seeking a cheerful, self-motivated individual who is passionate about working with seniors, particularly seniors facing different levels of dementia. Our residential care facility specializes in providing excellent care and our team specializes in awesome. What’s more, our facility’s local management company is led by a former nurse, native to the Pacific Northwest.

Qualifications:
Our preferred candidate will have some (or all) of the following experiences:
- Social or recreation programming
- Prior work in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with seniors
- Candidates should exhibit compassion, an energetic personality and creative thinking when providing therapeutic activities for our residents.
- Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug testing and criminal records background check.
- All applicants must be over the age of 18 and vaccinated for COVID-19 (or be willing to get vaccinated upon hire—this is due to state mandates, as well as the vulnerable nature of the demographic we proudly serve).
Key Job Duties/Skillset:
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department to assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet the interests, hobbies, and wellbeing of each resident.
- Seek out spontaneous interactions and opportunities that add delight and surprise to our residents’ day.
- Plan and distribute a monthly activities calendar for residents and family members (this does require rudimentary computer skills and will be covered in training).
- Facilitate connections and a sense of belonging for residents within the community.
- Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and presenters.
- Coordinate photos, videos, and events with the facility’s social media manager.
- Build in routine visits with residents and aide nursing staff by participating in the development of resident care plans.
- Plan special events throughout the year to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and whatever else draws your passion!
- Planning, preparing, and operating under the Activities budget.
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
