The Activity Therapy Coordinator shall be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and conducting activities (group and individualized) in accordance with current Federal, State and local standard guidelines and regulations. Adheres to Berwick Hospital and Behavioral Health policy and procedures. Assures ongoing program of activities which are designed to meet the needs and interest of the individual client.
Education:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must obtain certification in activity therapy within 6 months of employment.
Experience:
Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience with the geriatric population.
Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Licenses/Certificates:
Must obtain training for non-violent crisis intervention within 90 days of employment. Must possess or obtain certification in activity therapy within 6 months of employment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.65 - $21.22 per hour
