As our ACES Engagement Specialist, you will support children and youth involved in the foster care system through case management and family finding. Through research, social media sites, and family members and their connections, you will work to identify potential family or other kin as placement possibilities. At the same time, you will also provide case management services to the child/youth and family in crisis to promote stabilization and link to necessary community resources. The overall goal of our ACES Specialist is to support the County in building lasting positive relationships for the children in care and providing services to the family unit.

- Employee position with Insurance benefits (Full time), not a contracted role
- Trained in TBRI and Motivational Interviewing evidence-based practices

As our ACES Engagement Specialist, you will support children and youth involved in the foster care system through case management and family finding. Through research, social media sites, and family members and their connections, you will work to identify potential family or other kin as placement possibilities. At the same time, you will also provide case management services to the child/youth and family in crisis to promote stabilization and link to necessary community resources. The overall goal of our ACES Specialist is to support the County in building lasting positive relationships for the children in care and providing services to the family unit.
Does the following apply to you?
- Bachelors' Degree in Social Service or a related field
- Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution, knowledge of child development and the child welfare system
- Proficient in use of Word, Excel, and navigating internet databases
- Preferred:
- Bilingual
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the field, particularly as it relates to family search and engagement
- Valid Driver's license with clean record and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
- Proximity to one of our offices in Denver, Loveland or Colorado Springs preferred.
