Professional Search Group (PSG) a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist to join our client's team. Our client is a leading fire protection company. The successful Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist candidate will be responsible for managing the billing and accounts receivable processes for a large client base, handling high transaction volumes, and ensuring accurate and timely collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Billing: Prepare and process monthly invoices for our extensive client base, which includes hundreds of clients and amounts to over $500,000 in monthly billing.
Collection Management: Implement collection procedures and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment, resolving any billing discrepancies or disputes professionally.
Transaction Processing: Handle a high volume of billing and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
Data Entry: Enter and maintain billing and payment data in our accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, ensuring data integrity.
Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies, addressing and resolving any issues promptly.
Reporting: Generate and review accounts receivable reports to track outstanding invoices and collections progress.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their billing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (Sage) and the Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in accounting or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable roles, with a strong understanding of collection procedures.
Proficiency in using accounting software (Sage) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
