Summary of Position:
We are looking for an Accounts Receivableassociate to assist our accounting department as it receives, processes, and collects on services rendered. In this role, you will report to the Director of Finance. You will be required/trained to review account information, correct discrepancies, and ensure that accounts are properly billed, and payments are collected. To succeed as an Accounts Receivable associate, you should be a skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong math and computer skills.
Duties Responsibilities:
- Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for services rendered.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries.
- Processing and recording transactions.
- Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
- Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that Accounts Receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date.
- Follow up on past due accounts and communicate with customers via telephone, email, mail or personally.
- Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices according to specific deadlines, sending past due reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
- Generating reports and statements for internal use.
- Process credit card payments.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Assist with month-end closing.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 0 - 1 year experience
- Strong math, typing and computer skills, especially with QuickBooks, Google and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs).
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency and accountability.
