A/R & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST

Casablanca Bridal is looking for Credit & Collections Specialist to join our team in Anaheim, CA. The Credit and Collections Specialist will practice excellent customer service in order to collect payments from clients. You will be an essential part of the team in terms of building relationships with clients, as well, as expediting the collections process. The Credit & Collections Specialist is responsible for all collections of outstanding Accounts Receivable dollars from the existing client base, other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing Accounts Receivable delinquency. This position reports into the Accounting Manager.

Job Duties

• Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts.
• Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
• Resolves client-billing problems and rescues Accounts Receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.
• Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates.
• Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with sales and management.
• Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports.
• Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements.
• Email correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.

Job Requirements

• The ideal candidate for this position will have 5+ years of apparel or wholesale specialty store collections experience.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment.
• NetSuite experience a plus! Must have advanced Excel skills.
• Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
• Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
• Previous experience in analytical roles
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with excellent written and oral communication.
