Company Overview:
Our client is an oil and gas exploration and production company with headquarters in Centennial, Colorado, and O/G operations based in New Mexico. Half of the company's 70 employees work in the corporate office, with the other half in New Mexico. Beautiful new office space in Centennial includes an on-site deli and a great walking trail for lunch breaks!
All corporate employees work every day in the Centennial office.
Position Overview - Accounts Payable Specialist:
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Specialist works in an accounting department of 9 people. A/P Specialist provides financial, administrative, and clerical support to the department. Individual will be responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by processing invoices, verifying and reconciling invoices, joint interest billing, and processing non-operated revenue.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, code, and process Joint Interest invoices in DocVue - SmartVue
- Assign/determine proper workflow for each invoice
- Verify accuracy of billing
- Resolve vendor billing issues
- Work with company to resolve any invoice questions
- Review statements from vendors
- Review and process Non-Operated Revenue
- Work with partners on resolving billing questions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of A/P and accounting experience, ideally with some experience in the oil & gas industry
- Strong skills in MS Office
- DocVue - SmartVue, Energy Link, and Excalibur oil & gas software experience preferred
- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to resolve issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of personal integrity, professionalism, and work ethic
