Primary Function and Relationship to Total Organization:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for compiling, processing and maintaining ACCOUNTS PAYABLE records. Verifies approval on all invoices and check requests. Update and maintain vendor database.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for compiling, processing and maintaining ACCOUNTS PAYABLE records.
· Verifies approval on all invoices and check requests.
· Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
· Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
· Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
· Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
· Update and maintain vendor database.
· Assists with general ledger transactions during month end and year end reconciliation on an as needed basis.
· Maintains HCMH contract database.
· Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education:
1. High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
2. Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
3. Must have proficiency in the use and knowledge of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
4. Must possess valid Mandatory Reporter training for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse.
5. Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
