Accounts Payable Clerk

Robert Half has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk opportunity that offers a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. The candidate in this role will work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager. Other responsibilities include attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department,. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Your responsibilities in this role
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
- Carry out additional projects as required
- Implement full-cycle A/P
- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
- Knowledge of 3 Way Matching
- Foundational knowledge in Pivot Table
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Monthly Accruals experience highly desired
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
