Accounts Payable And Payroll Specialist

Waverly Heights is currently seeking a dedicated, full-time employee that would serve as an Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist. This role entails the critical responsibilities of managing weekly Accounts Payable functions and ensuring precise and timely bi-weekly payroll processing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong collaborative spirit, fostering effective teamwork with multiple departments and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Specialist
  • Verify and process payroll bi-weekly
  • Review time cards submitted by department managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Assist in quarter-end and year-end payroll reconciliations and processing, including issuance of W-2 forms
  • Ensure compliance with company, federal, state, local, and other payroll regulations
• Accounts Payable
  • Verify and process Accounts Payable invoices weekly
  • Reconcile and maintain records for all Accounts Payable processes, including month-end close
  • Process year-end tax reporting, including issuance of 1099 forms

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing
• Prior experience in Accounts Payable processing is preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Highly ethical and able to handle confidential information with discretion
