DEFINITION:
Under administrative supervision, provides accounting and administrative services for The Center at Deltona. Performs intermediate to complex accounting and clerical work, preparing and assisting with financial records; verifying, entering and checking data; providing customer service during the event booking process. Assists with other administrative work as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Not all inclusive):
Performs accounting functions including analysis and coding of invoices, processing of invoices for payment, reconciliation of vendor statements, analysis of general ledger line items, preparation of authorization package for required signatures, maintenance of voucher package files by vendor and disbursements journal to allow for post audit review, revenue functions including preparation and deposit of funds, coding and recording of revenue, follow-up on "not sufficient funds" checks, and maintenance of remittance documentation to allow for post audit review.
Prepares daily deposits, cash summaries and copies of summary as required.
Maintains documentation to allow for post audit review.
Assists with special projects, compiles data and prepares billing and reports as requested and required.
Maintains routine files; attends staff meetings and performs other office functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree with course work emphasis in finance or accounting supplemented by a minimum three (3) years previous finance or accounting experience and/or training; municipal government finance and accounting experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
