Safal Partners is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, including vendor invoice processing, payment processing, reconciliation, financial reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Input vendor invoices into the accounting system and process vendor invoice payments, including creating files and processing payments in Unanet.
- Reconcile credit card transactions and post deposits in Unanet.
- Post checks and confirm project managers have all costs accounted for, managing accruals as needed.
- Create and maintain vendor records in Unanet and develop and document accounting processes.
- Process expense reports and post expense report costs in Unanet, including updating per diem rates.
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare and send accounts payable reports for review and compile and send weekly expense reports for review.
- Reconcile vendor timesheets with vendor invoices and manage accrued wages reconciliation.
- Post credit card payments, subcontractor labor costs, and import ACH payments in Unanet.
- Reconcile bank statements and process customer payments.
- Create and maintain employee records in Unanet and maintain Safal AP app and manage imports.
- Assist with project analysis and provide support as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance role.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Proficiency with Unanet.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
