The accountant is responsible for managing the financial transactions of the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in both accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. This role involves maintain detailed records, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely payments and collections.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
· Generate and send out invoices to customers promptly and accurately.
· Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on overdue invoices.
· Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with customers regarding payments.
· Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and concerns.
· Prepare and maintain aging reports to track outstanding receivables.
Account Payable:
· Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, verifying appropriate approvals and documentation.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing errors.
· Prepare and schedule payments to vendors, ensuring adherence to payment terms and discounts.
· Monitor and manage vendor relationships, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
· Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and related documentation.
· Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
General Accounting:
· Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper coding of transactions.
· Assist in preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
· Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
· Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Supervision and Team Management:
· Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, feedback, and training as needed.
· Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed accurately.
· Conduct performance evaluations and participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
