POSITION SUMMARY:
The full-time, Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist is an essential member of a high-performing finance team positioning the health center at the forefront of progressive healthcare systems through the delivery of exceptional and cutting-edge quality integrated healthcare. Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist will serve as the lead for all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. In addition, the Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist will answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. The Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist will ensure the agency is compliant with local, state, and federal standards, policies, and guidelines. The Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist will promote Honor Community Health services while maintaining strong internal and external relationships, completing reports, and special projects. In addition, the Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist works collaboratively to create and maintain a culture of excellence and dedication to providing compassionate and high-quality health care to all.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Administration
- Process incoming invoices for payment including monitoring the accounting email box, and the Accounts Payable Software, Yooz. Scan invoices any physical invoices and submit them to Yooz.
- Ensure all data entered in Yooz for all vendor invoices and credit card receipts is exported correctly to Sage Intacct.
- Coordinate travel, registrations, and expenses for all Honor Community Health employees in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist with payroll processing via ADP.
Interagency Cooperation
- Prepare a check run to process invoice payments. Facilitate the check signature with a check signer. Process payments to be mailed. File completed payments.
- Serve as point of contact for all vendors. Reconcile to vendor statements monthly. Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
- Data enter daily cash sales for the centers. Maintain monthly center deposit spreadsheets. Follow-up with practice managers for missing deposits.
- Work with Billing Department to reconcile daily deposits in NextGen with Sage via bank transactions imported from online banking systems.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all accounting processes and transactions captured within Honor Community Health’s accounting system
Other Functions
- Contribute to preparations for the annual financial and A-133 audits.
- Assist with the preparation of the financial tables of the annual UDS report.
- Performs other duties as assigned. During a public health emergency, the employee may be required to perform duties similar to but not limited to those in the job description.
What we are looking for?
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- A general knowledge in using a Financial Accounting System such as Sage or QuickBooks to create accounting entries to record expenses and revenues.
- This is an entry level accounting position that requires the use of excel and the experience of an individual that is detail oriented.
- This person should have a good knowledge of the difference between Balance Sheet and Income Statement Accounts.
