Title:Accounting Payroll Specialist
Background:
Our client specializes in producing large volume direct mail and integrated communication campaigns for well-known marketing companies throughout the U.S. Their teams use the latest technology in data processing, security, personalization and mailing to create highly personalized and variable communications.
They are seeking an Accounting Payroll Specialist to join their Accounting team to execute the weekly payroll function for the company. This new role was created to focus on the payroll function, with a secondary focus on administration of Accounting related tasks. This is a full-time hybrid position, onsite attendance required for 3 days/week.
For this particular position, the Accounting Payroll Specialist will handle payroll for 15-20 hours of the work week, while the rest of their time will be spent assisting the AR department. Below are more details on the position and the responsibilities that go with it.
Accounting Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees, combination of exempt and non-exempt.
- Audit and review payroll reports for time & labor, employee changes, compensation adjustments, and other payroll related changes.
- Review 401k changes for participants and process with payroll, such as loans, contribution changes, etc.
- Handle multi-state payroll processes, taking into account variations in tax laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Provide assistance with Accounts Receivable (AR). Maintains all AR files as well as performing month-end maintenance of the Accounting Department function for the Monarch Accounting software.
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing US mail, distribute deliveries to respective mailboxes.
- Transfers incoming calls to appropriate extensions.
- Completes various other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Adheres to all Security Policies and Procedures as referenced in the Employee Security Handbook.
