Your role at Grabber as Accounting Manager is a unique position with varied responsibilities to support our corporate office and 23 branches throughout the US and Canada. Grabber offers a friendly atmosphere, work in a global setting, and a great work/life balance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monthly closing including various accruals, allocations, prepaid management, rebate accrual and reconciliation, General Ledger entry, etc. and assists in management of close processes
- Manages leases under new accounting pronouncement
- Manages rebate setups in accounting system
- Administers employee reimbursement programs (Concur, vehicle)
- Assists in preparing financial statement information reflecting the organization's cash balance, costs, earnings & profit position
- Coordination of tax information reporting with parent company
- Supports various AP and AR support functions
- Reconciles bank accounts and maintains related transfer accounts
- Performs routine reconciliations and verification of internal controls, accounting policies and procedures
- Participates in the annual financial statement audit, including preparation of audit work papers
- Helps drive continuous improvement to accounting processes
- Performs similar work and research-related duties as assigned
SKILL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred
- A minimum of three years professional experience in General Accounting or Public Accounting environments. Audit experience preferred
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting practices and related laws and regulations
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Advanced ability to use accounting and related systems, MS Excel, MS Word.
