DLA, LLC is seeking a Director/Senior Manager focused on providing tax provision and tax consulting services to clients. His/her primary responsibility will be leading and overseeing Tax Provisions consulting services, covering the full spectrum of client needs from preparation and review through regulatory filing,providing technical expertise, overseeing project delivery, and providing well-documented reports to auditors and other reviewers. He/she will also assist with the expansion of DLA's Tax Provisions consulting service offering by helping to identify and win new tax engagements.
This hybrid role can be aligned to any one of our New York City, New Jersey, Boston, or Chicago offices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute all Tax Provisions projects for clients as the Accounting Advisory practice's Tax Provisions SME
- Elevate the DLA brand by demonstrating thought leadership and embracing our marketing and sales programs
- Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of expanding DLA's Tax practice by acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue for the Firm
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Tax Provisions concepts to support Firm initiatives and development opportunities with internal knowledge sharing and panel discussions
- Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverables
- Support the growth and development of team members, helping these individuals meet their professional goals.
Knowledge & Skills
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting; masters or advanced degree is desirable
- CPA, MBA or MST preferred
- 7-10+ years related experience in public accounting and/or management consulting in tax consulting and tax accounting issues/provisions
- Strong corporate income tax and financial reporting skills with a broad understanding of US income taxation
- Above average written and verbal communication skills with experience producing and delivering communications to the executive level
- Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable with commitment to quality client service
- Interpersonal skills to interact in a team environment and foster client relationships
- Experience with active participation in marketing and business development with demonstrated ability to acquire new business and increase brand recognition
- Strong computer proficiency, specifically with MS Office.
