This Vessel Operations company is seeking a temporary Accounting Manager, that will take pride in its people as much as their products! The role is anticipated to last between 6 to 8 months.
In this role, you will be doing complex payroll calculations. For example, the fishermen get a percentage of net process catch rates on the boats and get gear deductions. You will be managing these calculations. In addition, you would be managing any one off situations that could occur on the boats. They are seeking candidates that are flexible and adaptable.
To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to complete inventory scheduling, monitor capital expenses, process payroll with accuracy, and meet weekly timelines.
This is a casual office environment and you would be able to work remote 2-3 days per week, once the training period is over.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Monitors Inventory levels both products for sale and supplies for the fishing vessels
- Prepares cost accounting analysis of vessel improvements and shipyard projects
- Prepares or reviews crew share calculations including estimates paid after each fishing trip and final settlements
- Prepares annual financial plan for fishing trips and updates throughout the year.
- 3+ years of Accounting experience (GAAP)
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business related field
- Previous accounting experience in fishing, timber, agriculture or construction is preferred
- Able to work 2 to 3 days per week in office in Seattle
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency
- Possess strong understanding of cost accounting and financial accounting principles.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible schedule
Pay: $125,000 per year
