About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our company's finance team. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining efficient financial processes. This position will report to the Director of Finance is 100% remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Accounting: Ownership of general ledger, data entry, vendor creation and management of chart of accounts.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and maintenance of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors process invoices, gain approvals and release payment.
- Credit Card Program Oversight: Manage the company credit card program, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Payroll Processing: Lead execution of payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Tax Compliance: Assist and collaborate with external accountants to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Accounting Close Activities: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Human Resources, Procurement, Payroll, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Audits: Assist the preparation for both internal and external audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the accounting function.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Take the lead on various accounting projects and complete ad hoc reporting tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online or NetSuite.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA designation or CPA track is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Experience with payroll software, such as Rippling, Bamboo, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with expense management tools like Expensify, Bill.com, or similar products.
- Industry experience, especially in the SaaS environment, is a plus.
