We are seeking to hire an Accounting Manager, who is responsible for leading and driving all operational aspects of the accounting team by helping install and maintain processes and controls to validate and compile accurate, timely analytical reflecting and financial transactions of the company by working closely with our investment team to achieve goals.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop the accounting team in all aspects of daily, monthly, and annual performance expectations.
Lead and direct the month end close process with appropriate analysis and application of proper accounting principles.
Prepare and lead the review of monthly account reconciliations and analysis to proactively monitor and report financial information to drive performance improvement of the company.
Work collaboratively with all company managers and staff providing decision support tools and analysis often leading a cross-functional team to evaluate and improve business procedures.
Oversees business risks and exposure to the company in extending customer credit and monitors accounts receivable/collection activities.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Experience, and education:
Leadership and management skills, with prior experience coaching and developing teams.
Month end close, performing it and managing it.
General ledger experience with different divisions/groups.
Budgeting experience, and financial projections.
Business insurance background is a plus.
Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficient in Excel and business systems software and programs.
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.
Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
