As the Accounting Manager, you will be a key player in our client's finance department, overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards, timely reporting, and effective financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional leadership skills, and a drive for process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate financial audits and reviews.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Analyze financial data, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and standards, and ensure adherence to new guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and motivating staff.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and the ability to streamline accounting processes.
