What We Need
We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager that will report directly to the Controller. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day business operations in the accounting department.
What You Will Do
- Improve general ledger operations - posting, reporting and balancing - to drive faster, more accurate and complete monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.
- Support month-end close process in partnership with outsourced accounting firm and assist with booking the entries, if necessary.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, controls and systems to ensure the proper performance of the duties associated with general ledger maintenance and to safeguard the integrity of the Company's general ledger and its related reports.
- Reconcile all Company cash and investment accounts monthly.
- Manage the Company's entity and account consolidation structure.
- Oversee general ledger data integrity and security.
- Maintain, modify, document and enforce the Company's chart of accounts.
- Write, modify and generate general ledger reports as needed.
What You Have

- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accounting or Finance role.
- Experience with the maintenance and operation of general ledger software.
- Experience with report writing software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including use of pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, as if functions, etc.
- Apply revenue recognition technical accounting guidance (viz., ASC606) on complex Value Based Contracts.
- Strong time management and prioritizing skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when privy to sensitive information.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage one's own individual projects.
- Present oneself in a professional manner and can interact with all levels of the organization and outside contacts.
What Sets You Apart
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially in DME/Value Based Contracts.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct.
- Knows the most efficient way to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Public Company experience.
- CPA license (or current progress to obtain license)
