Position Overview
G&H, a small business consulting firm with aggressive goals for growth, seeks an experienced Controller to play a critical role in our financial management and strategic growth initiatives. This position demands a high-caliber professional with extensive experience in government contracting, a proven track record in organizational growth, and exceptional proficiency in financial systems, specifically Unanet Financials.
Responsibilities include full cycle monthly accounting support, maintaining government accounting policies, training staff, administering Unanet Financials, and supporting various audits and administrative tasks. This role demands an individual with exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel, experience in creating executive-level financial dashboards, and the ability to contribute to tax preparation and compliance activities. The successful candidate will be a CPA with expert-level skills in Microsoft BI.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Cycle Accounting: performing and overseeing all accounting functions and monthly accounting workflows - manages payroll, accounts payable and receivables, monthly reconciliations, and prepares financial statements, ensuring the integrity of financial statements.
- Strategic Growth Facilitation: Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's growth objectives. Prior experience in scaling businesses within the government contracting sector is highly sought after.
- Government Contracting Expertise: Extensive experience with GSA Sales reporting, indirect rate cost submissions, proposal pricing/costing, and managing rate schedules. Ensure strict compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA audits.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Spearhead budgeting and forecasting efforts, offering insightful financial analysis to inform executive decision-making. Prepare detailed cash flow projections.
- Dashboard and Reporting: Expert at creating executive-level financial dashboards and presentations to provide clear insights into financial performance, trends, and risks. Proficiency in Microsoft BI is a plus.
- Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a finance/accounting team, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and Security Clearance:
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance, if required.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is mandatory.
- Experience:
- Minimum of five years in accounting in government contracting.
- Demonstrated expertise in administering Unanet Financials with a comprehensive understanding of financial management systems.
- Strong background in creating executive-level financial dashboards and presentations. Experience with Microsoft BI highly desirable.
- Solid experience in GSA Sales reporting, indirect rate cost submissions, proposal pricing/costing, and managing rate schedules.
- Experience ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and supporting DCAA audit.
- Proven track record in supporting various audits (GSA, workers' compensation) and managing 401K administrative requests.
- Experience working with company owners and tax accountants for tax preparation and planning.
- Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to create executive-level financial dashboards. Experience with Microsoft BI is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and management skills, capable of leading teams of at least 5.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
