Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail- oriented Accounting Clerk who is a team player and thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this position you will play a key role in managing the finances of our small business in addition to communicating with employees, vendors, and customers to ensure accuracy of financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable duties
• Assist with company payroll
• Distribute customer invoices and ensure that receivables are collected in a timely manner
• Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system within QuickBooks Desktop
• Provide administrative support to management when required
• Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail
• Welcoming visitors
• Answering phone calls and emails
• Willing to assist in other office duties outside of role as needed

Accounting Clerk/Data Entry Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid Drivers License
• 5 years of experience in an accounting related role, preferably for a small company.
• 5 years of current experience with QuickBooks Desktop accounting software. (Not Online Version)
• Knowledge of Windows 10, MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• High School Diploma
• Keen attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized.
• Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator.
• Strong time management with respect for deadlines.
• Ability to identify errors and solve problems and improve methods and procedures.
• Ability to hit the ground running and take this quickly growing company to the next level.
