The Accounting Clerk/Admin Support provides Administrative and Accounting Support for the University Store under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Executes and supports the payment process for resale items for the University Store.
- Verifies credits, payments as directed.
- Reconciles P-Card purchases.
- Files and maintains filing, as needed.
- Coordinates and organizes annual file purge and shredding events.
- Assist in the Online Invoice Process.
- Logs and maintains all incoming checks and Check Log.
- Support and aid in the organization of daily cash related operations of the University Store, Stadium Store, Arena Store, TUNE and Vending.
- Assists in DMS functions such as revenue distribution.
- Works with other accounting members to solve any financial discrepancies within DMS entry.
- Assists in collecting and compiling data for budget documents, financial statements and/or other reports.
- Assists in monitoring departmental accounts by gathering records/reports and identifying errors or discrepancies.
- Coordinates the work order processing and tracking for the University Store, all maintenance issues
- Coordinates the cleaning contract and schedule accordingly
- Receives incoming correspondence and information and processes to correct Ustore employee. This includes all incoming and outgoing mail and email.
- Handle and resolve customer concerns/needs and incoming phone inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma, or GED, and one year accounting clerical experience.
- Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
