Account Clerk – Treasurer’s Office

Salary Range: $21.76 - $28.77 per hour

35 hour/week position

The City of Attleboro Treasurer’s Office seeks an Account Clerk to perform clerical and accounting duties in accordance with department procedures.

Duties include: Prepares and issues paychecks for school department employees; prepares reports and verifies accuracy of payroll records; prints checks for warrants and verifies accuracy of totals; responsible for insuring transmission of warrant information to bank for posting payroll or vendor checks; provides back up clerical support for tax title paralegal. Responds to inquiries from the general public and employees. Maintains departmental files, including the vendor file. Prepares correspondence as necessary. Performs related work as required.

Requires high school graduation with courses in business and office procedures and one year of experience in clerical field. Skilled in Microsoft office, word processing and MUNIS. Able to use standard office equipment. Requires excellent customer service skills.
