Job Description
Position Summary: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing various accounting functions as assigned including processing payrolls, producing billing in a variety of formats, prepare contract documents, processing invoices, and obtaining and maintaining maximum entitlement benefits for the individuals we support. Performs analysis and reconciliations as assigned
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (40 hr/week)
Qualifications:
- Providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly vouchers for all organization expenses.
- Record all financial transactions in our database.
- Produce and mail out checks as necessary.
- Research and resolve any issues or discrepancies found in accounting documentation.
- Monitor activities on financial accounts and perform account reconciliations as assigned.
- Compile and present financial reports and summaries to management
- Develop and maintain a good financial filing system that ensures easy access to records.
- Follow established standards, procedures and applicable laws while maintaining client assets.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel and other stakeholders by promptly responding to requests.
- Prepare contract documents ensuring accuracy and completeness for efficient financial record-keeping.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as required

- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and background checks are required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or HS Diploma/equivalent & 2 years relevant experience
