Accounting Associate

WHAT YOU’LL DO: TASKS

• Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
• Process invoices, expense reports, and ensure accurate expense allocation
• Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date financial records
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Assist in regulatory compliance and reporting, including tax filings and audits
• Communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal) with customers and clients to address inquiries related to payments, invoices, and general billing questions
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and provide support as needed
• Perform other financial activities and ad hoc projects
• Commit to handling sensitive financial information with discretion

WHAT YOU’LL BRING: COMPETENCIES

• Strong analytic abilities
• Ability to work independently and with team members
• High degree of attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with insurance accounting software is a plus, but not required
• You like technology and want to use it to do things more efficiently·
