Accounting Assistant (Part-time/Hybrid)

We are currently looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant to perform daily tasks that will support our financial team. This is a hybrid position and candidate must be within a commutable distance to the office located in Sacramento California.

you will help our accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions, by assisting with the following:

• Daily finance and accounting activities
• Managing general ledger accounts
• Support duties related to accounts payable and receivable functions
• Provide accurate reports and metrics to Accounting Lead
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
• Assist with payroll processing and management of employee benefit programs

Requirements and skills

• Prior work experience as an Accounting Assistant
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting procedures
• Familiarity with finance regulations
• Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software ( QuickBooks preferred)
• Solid organization and reasoning skills
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally with others both in person and in writing
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field preferred
• Background with ConnectWise is helpful

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
