Accounting Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will provide support to our accounting department and assist with various financial tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong financial acumen and attention to detail.

Duties:
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting procedures and processes
- Utilize accounting software such as UltiPro and QuickBooks to perform tasks efficiently
- Adhere to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in public accounting or financial services is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in data entry and using accounting software (e.g., UltiPro, QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills for account reconciliation and financial analysis
- Knowledge of budgeting processes is beneficial
