We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity to join our team at Morrow Management as an Accounting Assistant. Our firm specializes in providing consulting services for dry utility projects, and we are looking for a dedicated individual to support our accounting operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and records client payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to clients.
- Maintains and updates client files, including name or address changes, mailing attentions, and special billing requirements.
- Identifies delinquent accounts, contacts delinquent account holders, drafts correspondence for past-due invoices and handles collections to request payment.
- Creates a variety of reports using QuickBooks and Excel.
- Researches discrepancies and errors.
- Collaborates with Accounting Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
- Assists in gathering all necessary information needed to prepare monthly billing.
- Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling accounts.
- Copies, scans, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, scanners, printers, and copiers.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with clients.
