Job Description-
Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to providing services to school districts, individuals, and the communities. BHSSC is seeking an individual to join our team that is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to the people we service and assist in furthering our mission to build strong communities by helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential.
Essential Job Duties-
· Process accounting transactions and performs accounting functions in accordance with established processes, policies, procedures, systems and controls.
· Revenue coding and processing of cash receipts. Expense coding for accounts payable.
· Prepare financial reports, analyze financial data for accuracy, research and investigate discrepancies, process corrections.
· Prepare bank reconciliations.
· Serves as back-up to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
· Assists BHSSC staff, vendors and external agencies with questions relating to accounting transactions and records.
Job Qualifications-
· Associates Degree in Accounting, preferred
· 1+ years of Experience in Accounting, preferred
· Detail Orientated
· Excellent Customer Service Skills
· Team-player
