Accounting Assistant

This position is full-time, 7:30am-4pm Monday through Friday and pays $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience. Once training is successfully completed, we are open to this being a hybrid remote position with up to two days per week being at home.

Job Duties:

• Prepare remote deposits of checks received
• Invoice customers for work performed
• Record and process payments for vendor invoices
• Post agency financial transactions to the agency accounting records (Quick Books)
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the agency's accounting records
• Reconcile cash and credit card accounts on a monthly basis
• Maintain petty cash accounts
• Maintain fixed assets records
• Produce monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with agency, Board of Trustees policy and generally accepted accounting principles
• Prepare 1099s
• Assist external auditors as requested
• Peform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

• -Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License and good driving record
• -Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
• -Must pass a BCI background check
• -Must remain in compliance with all regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainings
• -Must not be a registered offender on the ODDD Abuse and Neglect Register or the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Abuser Register
• -Must have your own auto insurance
• -Minimum of 3 years working experience with accounts receivables, accounts payable, payroll and creating financial reports utilizing QuickBooks or equivalent software
• -Strong attention to detail
• -Problem-solving ability
• -Well-organized and a team player
• -Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel/Word required
• -Experience with Advisor (Medicaid billing software) preferred
• -Must be able to communicate in a positive manner, utilizing both written and oral methods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
