We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax Senior to join our team at our Boston location. This role is pivotal in managing the overall tax compliance process for our leading real estate investment management firm. Location: Boston, MA
Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Tax Senior:

• Conduct initial reviews of tax workpapers and returns for Fund/Management company entities, including Partnerships, REITs, and U.S. and Offshore Blocker Corporations.
• Ensure quarterly/annual REIT requirements are met and identify potential issues.
• Prepare quarterly/annual tax provisions for U.S. and Offshore Blocker Corporations.
• Manage the tax reporting process, ensuring timely filing of tax returns, extensions, and estimate payments.
• Maintain tax compliance calendars and resolve Federal and state tax notices.
• Conduct tax technical and accounting research, presenting findings clearly.

Qualifications for the Tax Senior:

• Education: BS in Accounting required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of public accounting or private industry real estate taxation experience; CPA a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of real estate partnership and corporate taxation, REIT taxation and qualification, and state income and franchise taxation.
• Investor Sensitivity: Knowledge of investor tax sensitivities.
• Skills: Proficient in Excel and Bloomberg BNA. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
