SalaryThe Accounting Assistant position has a heavy emphasis on Accounts Receivable, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the intake and posting of all credit card, cash and check payments made to the company each day, and will call customers in an effort to collect on outstanding accounts.
Preparing and logging Journal Entries into the General Ledger and assisting with other accounting duties is also a major part of this role.
Knowledge of GAAP is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Associates Degree or higher
EXPERIENCE
Previous Accounts Receivable and Accounting experience is required. Must be proficient in the use of common computer programs such as Microsoft Office, and Google and have the ability to learn the software used by Esposito Nursery Inc.(Epicor Eagle Browser) Must be able to use or learn to use common office machines such as a copier, fax machine, calculator etc.
OTHER
Must be customer service oriented and have strong written and oral communication skills as well as basic business mathematical knowledge.
KEY COMPETENCIES
The AR Clerk must be a trustworthy, results-oriented individual able to work both independently and as a team member.
