Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time accountant and HR administrator to support the financial Accounting and Human Resources for our clients. McDonaldAMC clients are 501c6 or 501c3 non-profit associations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various Accounting and Human Resources functions for our clients to ensure the smooth operation of both departments.
Responsibilities:
1. Accounting:
- Manage all accounting transactions including sales receipts, distributing invoices, receiving payments, entering bills, cutting checks, and sending weekly payable reports in the client’s Accounting and association management software.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Work with CPA on tax returns.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
- Communicates via email and phone to members on accounting inquiries.
2. Human Resources:
- Onboard new employees by providing orientation sessions and ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
- Manage employee records and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including deductions, bonuses, benefits administration, and state filings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
3. General Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison for the Accounting and HR departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information related to both Accounting and HR functions.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and HR best practices.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Working Conditions: This position typically operates in an office environment. McDonaldAMC is a small business, and all employees are cross trained on multiple clients and duties. It is a plus if the applicant is willing to step in and help with miscellaneous tasks that could include administrative, event prep, etc.
Travel and Onsite Staff Support: Employees may occasionally be asked to work onsite at events. Onsite duties include working at the registration desk and assisting the Account Manager for onsite staff support.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
