Accounting Analyst (Hybrid)

Koch Minerals & Trading is seeking a motivated and self-driven Accounting Analyst to join our accounts payable and accounts receivable team in Wichita, KS. In this role you will be responsible for global payment and cash application processes, building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, supporting the month-end financial close process, supporting various accounting and treasury projects, and working closely with the KM&T Treasury team to advance its vision. Our Team

The Accounting Analyst will report to the Accounting Supervisor and Technology Lead for AR/AP, KMT Cash Management. This is a hybrid position (2 days remote/3 days onsite) based at the headquarters in Wichita, KS, primarily Monday - Friday with rotating holiday coverage to support global payment and cash application processes.

What You Will Do

• Manage global payment and cash application processes in a highly centralized environment and to business standards
• Generate AP and AR reports timely on a daily/weekly basis and to business standards
• Perform month-end financial close responsibilities such as monthly general ledger account reconciliations
• Understand upstream and downstream processes and leverage that knowledge to drive value-added change
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, both domestic and international
• Exercise full compliance of Koch standards and constantly work to strengthen the control environment
• Identify transformation opportunities and using various tools to transform processes.
• Build out payment knowledge systems and market, industry knowledge

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Accounting, Finance, or other type of financial professional experience
• Experience processing/handling large data sets
• Experience applying accounting concepts and principles
• Experience working with detailed, time sensitive tasks

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field
• Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or treasury processes
• Experience with business intelligence, data mining, or workflow tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, , or other software
• Knowledge of commodity trading and trading fundamentals
• Previous experience with Infor FSM
