If you are interested in applying your accounting and financial knowledge in various functions of the business, then the Accounting Analyst role at Nordic Ware might be perfect for you! In this role you will get the chance to work with a talented team of professionals from nearly every department. As an Accounting Analyst, you will support our day to day accounting operations, analyzing data, uncovering insights, and aiding in strategic decisions helping to shape our company's future.

What you will get to do:

• Follows proper accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and processes.
• Compile and analyze basic financial information to prepare general ledger journal entries in support of the period end close, assisting in the resolution of any issues identified.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, assisting in the resolution of any issues identified.
• Assist with the month end close process to meet internal timelines.
• Assist in invoice and payment processing.
• Review, document, and assist manager in the implementation of accounting policies, process improvements, and internal control procedures.
• Support efforts to streamline and improve the expense report financial reporting cycle..
• Track and develop/improve customer payments and chargebacks.
• Prepare monthly analytical reports and track key performance indicators for leadership
• Assist with monthly and yearly financial statement preparation and analysis
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you'll get to do:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 or 6 months of professional experience in Accounting or Finance through internships required. One year of experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong work ethic; well-organized and self-motivated
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) preferred.
• Experience with Epicor or similar ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred
• Manufacturing experience is preferred
• A basic understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis
