SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for various accounting functions in the department to include but not limited to plant live receiving accounting and plant inventory accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Summarizing daily live receiving inbound volume scorecards and distributing correlated reports to plant management in a timely manner
- Maintaining daily weekly product inventory of the plant
- Balancing cooler and freezer production
- Tracking short weights and bill of ladings
- Posting donations requests
- Reconciling and verifying company store sales
- Documenting daily weekly inventory cover sheets in accordance with GAAP and Tyson accounting principles
- Assigned specific duties to complete when other Team Members are out of office
- Typical work week is Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays required
- Ability to retain information learned
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Education beyond high school preferred, Associates degree or higher a plus.
Experience: 3 plus years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Data entry and Excel experience a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required; must be proficient at MS Office Excel; must possess good data entry skills in Excel spreadsheets and be able to audit and make changes to Excel formulas. SAP and MTech experience preferred.
Communication Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication.

Travel: May require travel to other local complex sites at the direction of the Plant Accountant and/or Complex Controller
