Accountant

Position Description:

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the organization's financial operations and the accounting department. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in various accounting duties.

Responsibilities

· Knowledge and experience in managing end-to-end AP/AR processes

· Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts, and income and balance sheet statements

· Audit invoices, expense reports, and payments

· Actively contribute to the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations

· Assist in payroll process and verifying benefit accrual balances.

· Prepares weekly cash flow report for Department Manager

· Review vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payments

· Prepares and accrues monthly commissions based on prior month billings

· Proactively analyze financial activities of the company and departments to provide insightful input into budget planning and preparation processes

Skills and Experience

· BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field, a plus

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

· High level of skill in MS Office Suite, especially Excel

· Experience with ERP software programs preferred

· Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data to support the team

· Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization

· Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal skills
