Our client in the managed public assembly facilities field is seeking a skilled Accountant Lead. Under general supervision, this position will manage various finance department activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial goals and priorities in line with State, Federal laws, and company policies.
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other accounting functions and personnel.
- Manage payroll functions for full-time and part-time employees.
- Prepare and assist with event settlements and ensure timely completion.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports including financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis.
- Maintain accounting records, verify general ledger coding, and participate in cost analyses.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Implement new accounting procedures and controls.
- Supervise events on a rotating basis.
- Ability to work irregular hours that may vary due to events and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff accountant and assist in hiring, training, and performance appraisals.
- Collaborate with Human Resources for employee management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 1 year experience in public accounting or financial management; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with live event settlement accounting.
- Familiarity with D365 accounting software.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Details: $62,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
