Position Summary:
Provides professional level accounting skills and assistance in cash management, financial reporting, and special projects to ensure the sound management of a department.

Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Sets up and administers accounts.
2. Prepares complex regular and special financial reports and statements.
3. Performs on a regular basis: reconciles the institution’s bank accounts, writes department reports, approves and processes budget modifications, monitors expenditures, approves allowability of goods and services requests, performs billing collections, ensures submission of technical reports, minimizes audit disallowances, and resolves audit issues.
4. Maintains data for the Monthly Report of Time Deposits, the Quarterly Report of Investment Transactions, Miscellaneous Income Statements, and the Annual Report of Investment Transactions of Local Institutional Funds.
5. Maintains the Title File of Accounts which is completed through on-line computer transactions.
6. Assists in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report at the end of the fiscal year.
7. May provide work direction and guidance to personnel within the department. May lead projects and activities.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or its equivalent with at least twenty-four (24) hours of college level accounting credit.
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in accounting.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
