Position Summary
We are seeking an Accountant I with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team and is primarily responsible for processing and recording transactions, preparing reports and fielding communications with vendors and various internal departments. This includes processing and recording all accounts payable, corporate checks and invoices efficiently and accurately. This is a hybrid-based position with a minimum of 2 days in the Van Nuys office required and supports all facets of the day-to-day operations and/or projects within the Accounting department.
This position also collaborates with the broader associate population to support a wide range of projects and initiatives touching our corporate and branch workforce population alike and will be focused on streamlining processes and providing exceptional service to all associates.
What You’ll Do
Process, verify, and reconcile invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all accounts payable activities are managed effectively.Conduct daily reconciliation of bank statements and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
Manage the accounts payable ledger, ensuring that all payments are accounted for and properly posted, and maintain up-to-date vendor files, including obtaining W-9s.
Verify and process expense reports, prepare payments for approval.
Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with company policies, as well as applicable laws and regulations, in all financial transactions.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes.
Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes, enhance vendor relationships, and implement best practices in financial management.
Perform other accounting duties and participate in special projects as required to support the team.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year of experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
A minimum of 6 months of Accounts Payable (AP) experience, or commensurate work experience, is preferred.
Education and Certificates/Licenses
A minimum education of high school education or GED
