Accountant – Entry Level

Western Precooling is the leading full-service provider of precooling equipment, facilities and services. We are seeking an Entry Level accountant eager to learn the different accounting departments. You will be responsible for reconciling and entering payroll, assisting General Ledger Managers with month end close, and AR/AP duties as needed. Training provided.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIEIS include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned:

Payroll

• Learn the Paychex system of payroll processing and be backup for our Payroll Administrator.
• Research opportunities to streamline the current process and/or better utilize Paycheck reporting.
• Responsible for reconciling and entering payroll entities into the accounting system.
• Work with GL Managers and Financial Analysts as needed.
• Track employee movement between locations/divisions to ensure accurate reporting of payroll expenses.
• Responsible for monthly reconciliations of Payroll bank accounts and Payroll liability accounts.
• Works with GL managers and/or Paychex to research discrepancies.

General Ledger

• Assist GL Managers on projects as needed, can include:
• Bank Reconciliations
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Monthly journal entries

AR and AP

• Support of daily AP and AR functions and activities.
• Participates in refining and developing new processes.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

• A/S or BS in Accounting or equivalent
• Proficient with Excel and Word

• Strong attention to detail

• Be able to take notes and document existing and new procedures.

• Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly, both written and verbally

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
