This role will work a **hybrid schedule** averaging three days in the office and two days from home plus ten work From anywhere days, in the U.S. only, provided annually. This is on top of vacation, holidays and personal days.

**Sodexo** is seeking an **Accountant** for the **Financial Shared Service Record to Report - Balance Sheet Accounting Department** in Cheektowaga, NY. We need a natural problem-solver, who thrives on challenges. Who enjoys a high energy, fast paced environment.
This position will prepare and oversee various account reconciliations and ensure the Sodexo North America General Ledger and Financial Statements are in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS). Will also be responsible for various Intercompany related activities, support payroll GL accounting tasks including related account reconciliations; monthly Financial Close and Financial Management reporting tasks. Position also provides customer support to all Business areas throughout the Finance organization.
**The successful candidate will:**
+ Provide Payroll General Ledger Accounting and reconciliation support
+ Provide Intercompany Accounting and Reporting support - Includes monthly invoicing and transfers, Shared Labor transfers, Account rec's, and ACH wires
+ Work on Account Reconciliations of various complexity levels
+ Work on Casualty Insurance reconciliations - Amortization schedules
+ Conduct monthly Financial Close and quarterly Financial Management reporting tasks.
+ Account variance explanations for internal Management reporting during key close days and post close
+ Support current and future projects i.e., Fast Close, Acquisitions and Accounting Integrations, Other
+ Provide External Audit support during mid year, Interim and Year End
+ Preferably possess an accounting degree.
