Precision Optics is searching for a career-minded Accounts Payable Specialist for our Gardner headquarters office.
Broad Functions:
Under the general direction of the Controller, performs all accounts payable functions accurately and in accordance with applicable company and accounting practices.
Principle Responsibilities:

Update and maintain vendor master and related 1099 reporting.

Process vouchers and match invoices against purchase orders and material receipts

Review employee expense reports for compliance with company policies.

Prepare cash disbursements in accordance with vendor terms, generate ACH and Wire transactions with the bank and check transactions.

Create and maintain the positive pay file with the bank.

Respond to external and internal inquiries regarding invoice status in a professional manner.

Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.

Assist in timely month-end closings and audit inquiries.

Compliance with general corporate policies and the company's quality management system.

Various other projects and duties assigned by manager.

Requirements:
Education: Associates degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent level of education required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:

• Minimum of two years of experience managing the full cycle accounts payable process required
• Good communication and organizational skills with a "team player" mentality
• Superb time management skills and detail orientation
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Familiarity with processing in Acumatica or other ERP systems
