Job Details:
We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a fast-paced, thriving industry, where you will play a crucial role in driving our company's financial health. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial information by recording, verifying, and consolidating financial transactions. This position offers the chance to grow and make a significant impact within the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
3. Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules.
4. Handle monthly and yearly close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reports.
5. Perform general ledger (GL) account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
6. Support budget and forecasting activities.
7. Develop and maintain ad-hoc reporting as required to support business decisions.
8. Interact with external customers and vendors, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
9. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and management, as well as compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Proficiency in journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, GL account reconciliations, and monthly/yearly close.
4. Strong knowledge of ad-hoc reporting and the ability to interact effectively with external customers and vendors.
5. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and accounting software.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial ideas in a clear and concise manner.
8. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding, and evolving environment.
