Accountant

Are you an accountant or recent graduate looking to help a growing business get its accounting department up and running? Then this position could be for you!

We are a small law firm looking for the right person to handle all the financial transactions for the firm and all the accounting for both probate and guardianship matters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain close working relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure all bills are paid accurately and on time.
• Utilize accounting software and systems to code invoices, conduct account reconciliations, and close books.
• Oversee all banking transactions and maintain accurate records for company checking, savings, and trust accounts.
• Managing the accounting ledgers for estate and trust administration and guardianships and preparing the accounting.
• Provide timely financial feedback and updates to the team and prepare statistics on workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Self-starter willing to research answers and come up with solutions.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
• Detail-oriented and analytical skills.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Agility when it comes to technology… as we use multiple cloud-based systems.
• QuickBooks preferred, but not required.

Compensation

$55,000 - $65,000 annually DOE
