Accountant

Tradeweb is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting AVP to join our NYC office. Tradeweb’s accounting department is responsible for the global monthly accounting close, management reporting processes, monthly fluctuation analysis, reviewing global expenses & prepaids.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly financial close process
• Work closely with AP function on a day to day basis for up-to-date accounting and appropriate month end accruals
• Prepare monthly global expenses and prepaids
• Maintain overview of Tradeweb business operation models and associated accounting
• Execute accounting controls in accordance with SOX control guidelines. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including multi-currency intercompany account reconciliations to ensure intercompany transactions are eliminated for financial reporting and any imbalances are appropriately resolved
• Prepare monthly multi-currency journal entries
• Ability to problem solve and find practical solutions to accounting questions through researching and data interpretation.
• Spearhead various ad-hoc accounting projects as needed
• Be a key member of accounting transformation projects, including building Alteryx workflows for process automation and improving month end close processes
• Documenting and maintaining of internal SOX controls.
• Help managing annual external audit by preparing assigned schedules and completing requested materials.
• 10Q and 10K schedule preparations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounting experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• CPA designation/Public accounting experience preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Knowledgeable with ASC 842 lease accounting
• Experience with ASC 830, foreign exchange
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator. Able to work with counterparts across various departments.
• Self starter, constantly improving process flows and enhancing controls
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables)
• Strong knowledge of accounting and related systems (i.e. SAP/Oracle/Concur)

• The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $80,000 to $125,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
